Welcome to our Pre-school

Welcome to Leapfrogs Pre-School

Leapfrogs Pre-school is a separate charitable foundation which is situated within the premises of Hormead Primary School, near Buntingford. The school allows us to use their facilities, including our own play safety area and garden.

We have three permanent staff with 30 years overall experience of pre-school care and education.

We can take up to 16 children at each session. The school is run by a committee made up from parents/carers of the children who attend.

We believe that enjoyable play is essential to children, as this is the medium through which they learn and develop.

Leapfrogs is an OFSTED inspected Pre-school. According to the December 2008 OFSTED report, at Leapfrogs:

'Children are safe and secure at all times and enjoy the varied activities planned to take their learning forward.'

You are welcome to look at our last OFSTED report, please ask us for a copy, or you can view it using the link below.

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage, which prepares children from birth through until the end of the reception year in primary school. It is divided into four themes and each theme has four commitments. By following the EYFS we look at each child as an individual.
